In Print and Online

If you haven’t checked it out already, I encourage you to visit our revamped Web site at www.seattlewomanmagazine.com. Now you can find every article we’ve ever published organized by section headings. Under Health/Fitness, for instance, you’ll find this month’s story on rowing, but you’ll also be able to call up our award-winning 2005 article on inflammatory breast cancer or last month’s piece on celiac disease.

We’re pleased that www seattlewomanmagazine.com is now a repository for a wealth of useful information for and about local women. If you are a subscriber or pick up the magazine regularly, our Web site makes it a lot easier to revisit certain topics or to locate an article that you might have missed.

Our online presence has also gained us a few loyal readers far beyond the Emerald City, from other states, countries and even continents. I love receiving letters from readers who come across us by accident while cruising the Web for information on a particular subject. Some of our regular readers here in Seattle often refer friends or family members who live elsewhere to our articles via our Web site, helping us to extend our reach.

Also online is our Women’s Directory, which allows you to locate businesses or services that support our magazine with their listings. You can search by categories from Acupuncture to Yoga, and find all kinds of interesting and successful women-owned businesses and services specifically geared toward women.

Ah, the Internet. You can’t beat it for convenience. But if you’re like us, nothing beats the pleasure of relaxing a bit with a good book or a quality magazine. So our printed edition will continue to be our first love, and we’ll use our cool new site to support what we publish in print. And if you’ve only just found the magazine, you can go online to subscribe.

Happy Reading,

Karen Reed-Matthee
